writer

Hello and welcome

I’m best known for co-writing the acclaimed Blood and Bandages – fighting for life in the RAMC Field Ambulance 1940-1946 with the late William Earl, and What Makes Us Human with Alison Lapper MBE.

Whilst I write on various subjects, my heart lies with WW2 history and I’m currently researching my next book, Changi Prisoner of War Camp 1942-45. It’s an unusual area but the POW’s story grabbed my interest when I was living in Singapore (2017-2025), trained as a docent (guide) at Changi Chapel and Museum and regularly ‘walked the ground.’

Apart from writing, I’m an experienced museum guide, regular speaker, creative writing faciliator and keen out-rigger.

I am a member of the Society of Women Writers and Journalists, the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and the Society of Authors.
