Hello and welcome

I am a freelance writer best known for the acclaimed Blood and Bandages – fighting for life in the RAMC Field Ambulance 1940-1946 with the late William Earl and What Makes Us Human with Alison Lapper MBE. I am also a qualified guide and public speaker.

I offer a variety of writing related and guiding services and am particularly drawn to human conflict and the Second World War. When guiding, I focus on context and stories to bring history alive.

I am currently researching my next book on Changi POW camp and jail and in my spare time enjoy out-rigging, walking and the gym.

I am a member of the Society of Women Writers and Journalists, the Writers’ Guild of Great Britain and the Society of Authors.
